Partner Visas

● Specifically for individuals in a de facto relationship or married to an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.

Before applying for a Partner Visa (Subclass 309/100), you must meet the following criteria:

● Your partner must sponsor you and provide a sponsorship application.
● You must meet the health and character requirements.
● You must not have any outstanding debts to the Australian government.

As a Subclass 309 visa-holder (temporary):

● Live, work, study, and travel in Australia without restrictions.
● Access Medicare during your stay in Australia.

As a Subclass 100 visa-holder (permanent):

● Enjoy full access to Medicare.
● Pay domestic student fees at Australian educational institutions.
● Be eligible to apply for Australian citizenship after meeting residency requirements.
● Have the ability to sponsor family members to come to Australia under relevant programs.

Personal Documents:

● Passport.
● Birth Certificate.
● Marriage Certificate (if applicable).
● Proof of Name Change (if applicable).
● Divorce Certificate (if applicable).
● National Identity Card.

Character Documents:

● Police Clearance Certificates from all relevant countries.
● Form 80 (Personal particulars for character assessment) - if requested by the Department of Home Affairs.

Evidence of Relationship:

● Statutory Declarations (from you and your partner) detailing the history of your relationship, including how you met, your living arrangements, and your future plans together.
● Joint Bank Statements or Financial Commitments (e.g., joint loans, shared expenses).
